COVID-19 Testing Advice and Guidance
Testing is only recommended for people who are at high risk for serious outcomes as they need to know if they have COVID-19 to receive early treatment options such as antivirals. Speak to your health care provider to see whether a test is needed based on your specific situation, which may include:
- Individuals who are at an increased risk of severe COVID-19 due to moderate to severe immunosuppression OR
- Individuals ≥60 years who have serious medical conditions.

If you have symptoms of a respiratory illness but COVID-19 testing is not recommended for you, follow public health guidance on staying home and away from others until you are well enough to return to regular activities.
As the federal supply of COVID-19 rapid tests winds down, Manitoba will no longer be providing rapid antigen test kits once supplies are depleted. Testing will continue to be available through healthcare providers for Manitobans who need access to testing for treatment decisions.
If you have had a PCR test for COVID-19, you can access all of your previous test results at the Shared Health portal at https://sharedhealthmb.ca/covid19/test-results/.
